This is the 4th book that I've read in this series but I truly haven't it enjoyed it as much as the 'Pride' series and this one was the worst I think. The h and H have known each other since the 4th grade and been best friends together with another guy who is also their partner in business. The H has had a thing for the h for years, since they shared a kiss, but she was engaged to someone else. Now finally, they are both single 10 years later. Things between them are beginning to heat up but then she is attacked, suffers a head injury and is left with amnesia and remembers nobody, least of all the H. He decides it's the perfect time to get her to fall in love with him and tells her that they are engaged. It's a short book with choppy writing this time and there a lot of things going on. The author doesn't allow her ideas to flow easily and I found myself having to go back and check certain things e.g. the H tells the h after the attack that she is the woman he's going to marry and later this is translated into being engaged.+++Spoilers+++
I didn't like the h before the accident, I liked her less after the bump and then when she begins to remember herself, we realise she's a huge b**ch, who knows exactly how to manipulate the H and their other best friend. She discovers her diary and works out that she isn't a nice person. Truthfully she's just awful and I wish the H had found someone else. She treats him poorly before and after the accident
I'm not sure I'm going to continue with this series.

Would love to give this book 10 stars, each one gets better. I have fallen in love with Jill Sanders and feel like she's a close family member. She writes just the way I think about things. Thank you.
Secret Identity was a cute story, but it lacked depth. The writing was a bit chopped at some points. I have come to expect a reliable good read from Sanders so I was bummed that this one failed the grade.
I enjoyed this story. Love all the "Pride" series. The only complaint I have are with the reversed letters & annoying words not spelled correctly. But it didn't distract from the story. Just a little annoying. This is a good, heartwarming read. I read it in one day (less really). I do suggest the entire series but this can be read as a stand alone.
In this book Eve is attacked in Chicago while on a business trip and she can't remember anything. Her best friend takes her to Maine where they had sent many vacations. There are many interesting twists and turns to the plot which lead to a happy ending.
Eve and Carter have been best of friends since they were in grade school, one not so innocent kiss years later and then back to best friends again like nothing happened. they work together and hang out like best friends do but neither one knows that the other one has feelings for them. throw in an attack in a dark alley that causes amnesia which might just be the thing to make them acknowledge their desires.
I was so into the story that I finished it in one afternoon. I have really enjoyed this entire series so far and I look forward to the next book, but I just say I have been waiting for this story of Eve and Carter and I wasn't disappointed at all. they have a great friendship and great chemistry which makes for a great romance.
